# In July, 2018 chief of Air staff Air formally announced IAF's intention to permit the use of all it's resources for testing and certifying the indigenous Fuel.
# Sence then, the IAF has undertaken a serious of test for evaluating the performance of this fuel against international standards.
SIGNIFICANCE:-
# This fuel is made from JOTROPH OIL sourced from chattishger Biodiesel development Authority ( CBDA) and then processed at CSIR-IIP, Dehradun.
# The recent certification is a huge step in promoting the 'make in India' mission as the Bio-fuel would be produced from tree borne Oil (TBOs) sourced from tribal areas and farmers, augmenting the income substantially.
